2009

In January 2009, during the recession we all remember, our founder, Troy Spring, took his last chunk of change and bet on himself. Dealer World was formed, and he never looked back. For the first few years, Dealer World was solely in the Direct Mail business.

2012

That ended when we signed our first Radio/TV/Traditional media client in late 2012. Troy's experience at the retail level was that of a platform manager running 4 stores and very successfully at that. His forte was advertising and driving traffic to the stores and he also found it to be the most rewarding… even fun. Over the next couple of years, the company grew at a nice pace adding a new dealership every few months so as not to grow too fast. The stores he signed in 2012? Well, they signed with Dealer World when it was just our CEO working from his house and they are still with us today with a combined 45 employees through our ecosystem of companies and offerings. We always say, “If we can keep people happy starting with one employee for a decade, we should be fine with 45.”

2014

Our first client asked when we might consider learning this "digital thing” that they kept wanting to explore so they could have one vendor. We answered that we would start today! Since then, Dealer World has become a very powerful force in automotive advertising on all fronts.

2022

Fast forward to 2022, we now have clients from NY to California. Dealers ranging from small independents and buy here pay here to franchise dealers including exotic brands like Bugatti and Koenisegg. We now represent dealers from 31 different brands that are all co-op managed. Our scope is still from the basics (i.e. From direct mail, billboards and newspaper to the most advanced search engine and social media strategies).

Troy has been honored to speak all over the country about his philosophies, strategies and the success of Dealer World.
Since its very humble beginnings including: Multiple State Automobile Dealer and Independent Association Conventions as well as Mastermind Groups.
